TMTP – Day 14

Posted on 01.14.2013

The following post is Day 14 of 18, in the series Take Me To A Place – in 18 Days:

God is love. His love is perfect, meaning that, among other things, it is mature, complete, unconditional and without flaw. God loves us. We talk about how He loves us, yet we either doubt this fact or we are afraid that His love is not enough to deal with who we really are. In other words, it is difficult for us to accept His extreme “I-don’t-care-what–you-have-done-or-how-messed-up-you-are” kind of love!

At some point, we must accept that He really does love us. We must also simply receive His love and stop trying so hard not to!

I am so thankful that my name is written in the Book of Life. Because of this, I live in the presence of God—Love—everyday of my life! In addition, I am promised to live in the immeasurable love of God for eternity. Daily, I go to that place in Him where I no longer have the fear of being judged.  His love is non-judgemental. His love covers me and tosses out the fear that attempts to besiege me at times. That fear is the fear of being rejected due to my long list of uncomely characteristics that I need to work on. The fear is also one of not measuring up to a standard that I cannot meet.

In Christ, fear is put away. I John 4:18 reads, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Today, I am taken to a place where I receive Christ’s perfect Love!
